WHATELY, Mass. (WWLP) – A local tea supplier is expanding and they’re trying to do that one cup at a time.
Tea Guys, based in Whately, imports different kinds of teas from all around the world, but now with the opening of their new store on Route 5, they hope to sell their products in person to tea lovers in Massachusetts. They plan on offering more than 100 blends of tea for people to choose from. Customers will be able to have their tea with milk or even blended into a smoothie.
The owners of Tea Guys says people love tea because all of the health benefits. They also want to make a mark on the way people think about tea.
“My primary goal, or all of us, we just want people to think about tea differently. We don’t want anyone to bring in any of their preconceptions about tea, what it should be, what it should taste like because we’re changing the playing field, not only in what we’re making it into, the concentrates and the cold brew and the k cups,” said Oliver Rich of Tea Guys.
The grand opening of the new store is on October 4 at 110 Christian Lane off of Route 5.
