CARUTHERS, Cali. (KSEE) More than 900 chickens were beaten to death with golf clubs after burglars broke into a Foster Farms chicken shed in Caruthers, California.
The break in happened on September 20th, and now, detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff Office’s Ag Task Force are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspects responsible.
Detectives say Foster Farms employees discovered the bloody mess inside the chicken sheds at around 8:30 a.m.
About 920 chickens were killed with golf clubs or similar instruments, according to Deputy Chris Curtice.
Deputy Curtice says everyone should be alarmed by the cruel nature of this crime.
“Psychopathic behavior, sick behavior, and people who will do this–it can definitely lead to other things,” Curtice says.
