New Red Cross executive director to continue Hometown Heroes

The new Headquarters will be open on October 17th

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – For the 13th consecutive year the Pioneer Valley Red Cross and 22News will team up for the Hometown Heroes breakfast.

The Pioneer Valley chapter’s new executive director Kim Goulette confirmed on Wednesday the partnership will continue to honor western Massachusetts people who have saved lives or improved the lives of others.

She said it’s a tradition that should continue. “I watched the event, it really brings it down to people who are really doing great things in the community and we get the opportunity to recognize them.”

Goulette also confirmed that the new Pioneer Valley Red Cross Headquarters will be open on October 17th in the Cottage Street Industrial Park area. This will be the first time in years that the Red Cross chapter and the blood donor center will be under one roof.
