McCormick grew up in a working-class family in upstate New York, attending Syracuse University on a lacrosse scholarship. He earned a masters degree in finance, and later moved to Massachusetts.
In 1993, he founded Saturn Partners, a venture capital firm for companies that are looking to get off the ground. According to McCormick’s website, among the firms companies Saturn Partners helped grow were Constant Contact and the Boston Duck Tours. McCormick has also been active on several community boards in the Boston area.
He says that he is running for governor to deliver solutions to Massachusetts voters, free from special interests.
McCormick is a father of three and lives in Boston with his wife, Christine.
