What is it?
Clinical insomnia is referring to someone who is either lying in bed for 30 min or more before falling asleep or waking during the night and up for a total
of 30 min or more. AND this disturbance is resulting in consequences from irritability, fatigue, drowsiness, impaired performance or productivity.
negative, distorted thoughts and beliefs about insomnia
feelings of loss of control over sleep
inadequate exposure to sunlight
going to bed too early or sleeping too late
excessive stimulation in your bedroom(tv, computer, tablet, smartphone)
Tips to Combat Insomnia:
calming routine before bed
schedule time to bed and follow
reduce stimulation from bed room
Relaxation eye mask, ocean sounds or white noise machine.
