According to Community Springfield Police Liaison Kathleen Brown, “We want them to be safe.  We want them to know how to access the police when they need police services. And we want them to not be concerned about calling us when they need help.”

Brown told 22News the ages of the Police Academy students range from 17 to 80, and people come from all sectors of the city.
