CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee police are still looking for suspects in three different robberies in the city, which happened three nights in a row. Though they all happened recently, they may not all be connected.

The first robbery happened Sunday morning at the Shell gas station on West Street. Det. Sgt. Mark Higgins told 22News that a masked man took money from two employees at the station.

The following day, a masked man with a handgun held up the Front St. Citgo station, and got away in a stolen car, which was later found abandoned.

Tuesday night, a man with a gun robbed the Granby Road CVS/Pharmacy, stealing items from the store.

Chicopee Police Officer Michael Wilk told 22News that the suspect in the CVS robbery is different from the gas station robbery suspect. He also noted that during the CVS robbery merchandise was stolen, as opposed to cash, which was taken in the gas station hold-ups.

Wilk said that the department is taking steps to prevent further robberies, including having patrolling officers check on area businesses more frequently. They are also instructing store clerks to report suspicious behavior.

Chicopee police did release surveillance images from the two gas station robberies, but photos have not yet been released of the CVS robbery.

If you have any information on any of these recent robberies, call Chicopee Police detectives at (413) 594-1730.
