SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce has assisted minority-owned businesses get started for the past ten years.
On Tuesday night, they welcomed a new group of bilingual students starting a three week business seminar. Hopeful entrepreneurs attend workshops twice a week, and also work one-on-one with instructors.
Chamber president Carlos Gonzalez told 22News the program works. “We have folks that started their business here, at the center today, and now they employee around 15, 20 people. We’ve also seen a lot of people go from unemployment to starting their own business, and now they’re employing themselves.”
