MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) — Police have released the name of a pedestrian who died after she was hit by a car in an intersection in Middletown.
Lt. Heather Desmond on Saturday identified the victim as 52-year-old city resident Jean Carroll. Police say Carroll was hit by a car driven by 52-year-old Leonard Sanders of Middletown at the intersection of Washington and Broad streets shortly after midnight Saturday.
Police had initially asked for the public’s help in identifying the woman.
Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact investigators.
