Pet of the Week: Magnum

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – Meet Mass Appeal’s pet of the week!

Name: Magnum
Breed: Beagle/Hound Mix
Age: 6 Years Old
Sex: Male
Color: Black/Brown Coat

About Magnum:
Magnum is a wonderful fellow with a very friendly personality!  He knows some basic commands such as “sit” and “stay” and is very willing to learn more!  He’ll be a great addition to any household and can be with kids of all ages, but he has no history of living with cats.  Because he’s so easygoing, he’d be an ideal first dog for any companion or family to adopt, and he could manage nicely in a household that’s moderately busy.  Magnum is an active dog who loves to walk, run and play as much as he loves to cuddle and warm up the couch with his humans.  Come meet him at Dakin’s Springfield location.

Cats Fixed Free
Just a reminder that people with cats who live in zip codes 01108 (part of Springfield) and 01040 (Holyoke) are eligible to get their cats spayed or neutered at no cost at Dakin’s Community Spay/Neuter Clinic thanks to a grant from PetSmart Charities. These 2 areas were identified as the 2 largest sources of homeless cats in the region, and thanks to this grant, we are able to help curb the homeless animal population in these places. If you have a cat who needs to be spayed or neutered, feel free to call us at 413.781.4019 to set an appointment. If you don’t come from those 2 zip codes and are challenged by standard spay/neuter fees, our staff will work with you to make this more affordable.
