Search continues for two armed kidnapping suspects

TAUNTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Massachusetts State Police are searching for two suspects wanted for an armed kidnapping.

According to Dave Procopio of the State Police, the 49-year-old victim was kidnapped at gunpoint in a detached garage at a residence in Lawrence Tuesday night and placed in the trunk of the suspects’ car.

Around 7:15 p.m., the victim was able to escape from the trunk of the car on Route 24 in Taunton when the car slowed in traffic. Someone driving by helped the victim and called police. Procopio said the victim’s name is not being released at this time and was transported to Morton Hospital in Taunton with minor injuries.

The suspects’ car, a blue 1996 Nissan Sentra with Massachusetts license plate number 478-PK4, continued south on Route 24. Procopio said it was later found near the Taunton-Freetown line and is being processed for evidence by State Police.

The suspects have been identified as 28-year-old Adynew Alves of Boston and 28-year-old Stephanie Walker of Lawrence.
