Missing Soldiers: Boys Night Out

MASHPEE, Mass. (WHDH) New video shows three Afghan soldiers who disappeared from a training mission in Massachusetts visiting a strip club hours before they attempted to flee to Canada.

Melissa McNeely, a dancer at Zachary’s Pub, remembers the three standing out because they looked foreign, but not out of the ordinary.

“They were nice. They tipped. They were very generous,” McNeely says. “They were sweet, respectful. I ended up doing a lap dance for one of the guys and he just stayed as still as a statue.”

The officers were part of a larger group of more than 240 military personnel taking part in a joint military exercise at Camp Edwards over the weekend. Military officials say they were not confined to base but did slip away when they were on a chaperoned to the Hyannis Mall Saturday.
