Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in Palmer

PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – A man from Bondsville who was arrested by Palmer Police Monday evening now faces drug charges.

According to Palmer Police Det. Sgt. Christopher Burns, 24-year-old Timothy Laviolette was stopped by police around 6:00 p.m. Monday as he drove through Palmer.

While investigating the car Laviolette was driving, police found 500 bags of heroin, Sgt. Burns said. Laviolette was arrested and charged with drug trafficking. He is being held on $50,000 cash bail.
