A historic building in Ludlow has now come to life

The building on Chestnut Street was newly renovated

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – HAPHousing held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of Stevens Memorial Senior Housing, which will offer 28 affordable apartments for senior citizens, age 62 and older.

The building on Chestnut Street was newly renovated, and now includes community and activity rooms.

Helen Duquette, a new resident, told 22News, “I think we’ll have a good group in here, hopefully. I saw the apartments and I love them, they’re gorgeous, and I know I’m going to be very happy here.”

HAPhousing served as developer for the 7.4 million dollar renovations of the historic building.
