(NBC News) Fans of Apple’s iPhone finally get the chance to put their hands on the device’s newest incarnation today as it goes on sale in stores on the heels of record pre-orders.
More than 4 million phones were ordered on the first day of availability.

put it together better than other people,” says Re/code’s Walt Mossberg.
The new iPhones have gotten largely positive reviews from tech writers who point to faster speed, a improvd camera and better battery life.
