WASHINGTON, DC (NBC News) – President Obama vowed once again to destroy the ISIS militant army Wednesday, and once again promised that American ground troops will not take part in the fight.
After reviewing plans for combating ISIS militants with top generals at Central Command, the president spoke to service members at MacDill Air Force Base.
Mr. Obama said a coalition of over 40 countries is contributing to the effort to destroy ISIS, and he vowed their fighters will find no safe haven.
“Whether in Iraq or in Syria, these terrorists will learn the same thing that the leaders of al Qaeda already know: We mean what we say, our reach is long, if you threaten America you will find no safe haven. We will find you eventually,” the president said.
