(WESH) Florida deputies say a Deltona man frightened neighbors Tuesday morning and delayed school bus routes when he fired nearly two dozen rounds from an AK-47 assault rifle.
Frederick Wenzel IV, 28, was arrested and charged with six counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed firearm, open carrying of weapons and using firearm while under influence of alcohol.
Investigtors said Wenzel was dressed in camouflage and tactical boots.
“Just heard sequential shots. There had to of been 10 of them just popping off,” said Deltona resident Heidi Simms. “Looking out our front window we could see the back flash from the gun.”
