Small plane crash at Mass. airport

BERKLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – A pilot is hurt, but is expected to survive, following a plane crash at an airport in southeastern Massachusetts late Tuesday morning.

Boston area NBC affiliate WHDH-TV reports that the crash happened at Myricks Airport in Berkley. Helicopter footage taken by the station showed the plane upright and largely intact at the edge of a wooded area.

Police told the Taunton Daily Gazette that the pilot is being treated for minor injuries.

Berkley is a small town of about 6,000 residents. It is located in Bristol County, south of Taunton and north of Fall River.
