(WTHR) An Indiana sheriff’s deputy has been suspended after allegedly triggering a multi-car crash while driving under the influence.
Separate investigations are underway into a chain reaction crash police say Delaware County Sheriff’s Cpl. Todd Daily started after failing to hit the brakes. Daily, who was off duty at the time of the crash, reportedly tested at more than four times the legal limit for alcohol.
Another driver who was passing through the intersection at the time of the crash told investigators he believes Daily never hit the brakes.
