Armed robbery at Indian Orchard convenience store

Two men showed a gun and took cash

INDIAN ORCHARD, Mass. (WWLP)– Springfield police are working to find out who is responsible for an armed robbery that happened overnight in the city’s Indian Orchard neighborhood.

Springfield Police Captain Robert Stzempek told 22News that just after midnight, police were called to the Racing Mart convenience store at 363 Main Street.

Stzempek told 22News that two Hispanic men went into the shop, showed the clerk a gun, and got away with some cash.

There have been no arrests made. The investigation is ongoing.
