WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP)- It’s opening day of the Big E, and 22News now knows who will be replacing ZZ Top following this week’s last minute cancellation.
Continuing problems from bass player Dusty Hill’s hip injury have caused the cancellation of ZZ Top’s show at the Big E.
The special event director for the Big E told 22News early Friday morning that they have replaced the show with a performance from legendary Southern rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd.
If you had ZZ Top tickets, you can go to the Big E box office to get a refund or exchange them for the Lynyrd Skynyrd show.
Held at the Eastern States Exposition grounds in West Springfield, the Big E is North America’s fifth-largest fair. Gates open every day from 8 A.M. to 10 P.M. General admission for adults is $15, $10 for children between ages 6 and 12 and free for children 5 and under.
Some concerts are for an additional ticket price.
