Holyoke brothers arrested for dealing heroin

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Narcotic Detectives arrested two Holyoke brothers who are considered high level heroin dealers.

According to Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney, the detectives arrested the brothers as they were allegedly making a delivery of heroin to a parking lot on Boston Road near the Wilbraham line.

Detectives determined a large delivery to Springfield was going to take place from several weeks of investigation. Omar and Jovanni Marrero were arrested Thursday at 5:30 p.m. 1,045 bags of heroin and oxycodone pills were confiscated. The brothers are charged with:

  • Trafficking in Heroin
  • Possession Of Heroin with Intent to Distribute
  • Possession Of Oxycodone with Intent to Distribute
  • Violation of a Drug Free School Zone

Both held on a high bail overnight and will be arraigned in Springfield District Court today.
