Goldberg continues pursuit to be State Treasurer

BOSTON (WWLP) – The three-way Democratic primary for state treasurer has been won by Deborah Goldberg, who will represent the party in the race to replace Steve Grossman.

With 94% of precincts reporting, Goldberg received 191,690 or 43% to Barry Finegold’s 138,626 or 31% and Thomas Conroy’s 115,872 or 26%.

Goldberg is the chairman of the Brookline Board of Selectmen, while Finegold is a state senator from Andover, and Conroy is a state representative from Wayland.

In November, Goldberg will face Republican Mike Heffernan and Green-Rainbow Party candidate Ira T. Jackson.
