CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A fourth ebola patient arrived in the U.S. from West Africa Tuesday morning for experimental treatment.

While all four Americans have been kept in isolation during their treatments so far, health experts fear the outbreak is bound to spread around the world.

Here in western Massachusetts, colleges and universities welcome hundreds of international students each semester.

The Five College community released a notice to students detailing the protocols they have in place. It reads in part:

“There are a limited number of students in the Five College community who live or have traveled to the countries affected by the current Ebola outbreak. Students who were in study abroad programs in these countries over the summer are now in the U.S. and do not meet the criteria for potential suspected cases.”
