SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Stand Up to Cancer will broadcast its fourth multi-network telecast to raise money and bring awareness to the fight against cancer on Friday night at 7 p.m.
The national forum aims to educate people about cancer prevention and urge the public to support cancer research. Friday’s event will be hosted by dozens of celebrities along with inspiring cancer survivors.
In Springfield, there will be a viewing party for the event at Springfield College beginning at 7:00 p.m, hosted by the American Cancer Society’s Natick, Framingham, and Sherborn Relay for Life. A $25 registration fee includes a commemorative T-shirt, luminaria, food, and a chance to bid on exclusive silent auction items and win door prizes.
Money raised at the viewing party will support the SU2C Lung Cancer Dream Team that is funded in part by the American Cancer Society.
