ENFIELD, Conn. (WTNH/WWLP) – The Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Unit investigated the shooting of a 19-year-old man on Prospect Street in Enfield, Wednesday night.
The shooting took place just after 9:00 Wednesday night. Police haven’t released the victims name, but have confirmed that the victim died from his gunshot wounds.
“Upon arrival police found a 19-year-old with a gun shot wound to the chest. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield where he died. We are investigating. State police major crimes is assisting,” said Enfield Police Chief Carl Sferrazza.
Police have not named any suspects, and it is unknown if anyone has been arrested or is being questioned by police.
