The weather co-operated with the 2014 3-County Fair in Northampton.
Vendors told 22News it felt like attendance was up this year for the 197th edition of the four-day festival of food, fun, rides and entertainment.
The fair closed out its 4-day run Labor Day night, Monday, with two food vendors telling 22News the bigger crowds and nicer weather made the fair profitable, even if it was almost too warm this year.
“The sun’s really got us burning here today, said Dean Elliott, who co-owns DEANO’s Concessions with his wife. “We’re selling lots of drinks today. Better than last year. Last year it rained on this day.”
This was Hatfield businessman David Nunez’s first fair selling his frozen, flavored, stuffed bananas. He told 22News “Stuffit Bananas” got off to a solid start.
“Our best day has been Saturday. That’s been the top of the line. Today’s a litttle bit slow, but it’s been pretty good. We been happy,” said Nunez.
The 200th edition of the Three County Fair will take place on Labor Day weekend 2017.
