CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) –  The showers and thunderstorms that came through western Massachusetts earlier Sunday evening have pushed off to our east. The strongest storms moved across Hampden County where there was very heavy rain and frequent lightning.

Things are expected to be pretty quiet overnight with just the chance for a few passing shower.

The same thunderstorm that moved through western Massachusetts Sunday evening caused a Tornado Warning to be issued for eastern Worcester County and western Middlesex County. Doppler radar had indicated a possible tornado but so far there has been no confirmation that a tornado touched down.
