CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The children of Chicopee’s Willimansett neighborhood can’t wait for the grand opening of the new and improved Nash Street Park playground.
It took two days for volunteers to finish installing $30,000 worth of equipment. The upgrade had originally been expected in November. Neighborhood kids are glad the work was completed much sooner.
“Now they’re making it better for kids, it was kind of beat up,” said Kayla Roth of Chicopee. “They’re making it look nicer, more updated.”
The children were told to expect to start using their renovated playground next week.
