(WWLP) – Many Franklin County businesses rely upon the beauty of the seasons to bring tourism.
Quaint shops, bed and breakfasts, and the heart of New England beauty is what draws people to Franklin County from all over the world.
Enjoying summer on a park bench, driving around with the top down, and the smell of freshly cut grass is slowly fading away. And the first hints of fall are showing at the tips of trees ushering in a new wave of tourism for the area. One restaurant owner in Shelburne Falls I spoke with today said she hopes things keep going as well as they have.
“The summer has been really wonderful its been one of our best summers ever so we’re really looking forward to a good foliage and if that happens and the weather is good than I shouldn’t see any problem with a wonderful fall.” Ami Aubin, Owner of Gypsy Apple
There have been a couple of movies filmed in the Shelburne falls area over the past two years that has helped draw tourism as well.
But owners say despite Hollywood not being around as much this year they are doing good and events are well attended.
