Chicopee shooting suspect turns himself in

Accused of attempted murder

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – One of the suspects wanted for allegedly attacking and robbing a man in Chicopee on Monday has turned himself into the district court Thursday afternoon.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News Aris Bermudez is accused of shooting at and beating up a man at Manny’s Market on Meetinghouse Road. He’s facing a number of charges including attempted murder.

He was arraigned Thursday and bail was set at $150,000 cash/$1.5 million surety bail.  A pre-trial conference has been set for September 18th.

The Chicopee Police Department had orginally issued an arrest warrant for Bermudez earlier in the week.
