WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Wilbraham Police arrested a man from Connecticut who caused a three car accident on Main Street early Wednesday morning.

According to Wilbraham Police Capt. Timothy Kane, around 8:24 a.m. Wednesday, police received a report of a three car accident at 968 Main Street. The driver who allegedly caused the accident, 56-year-old Ronald Shaw of Ellington, CT, was driving erratically and on the wrong side of the road.

Capt. Kane said Shaw hit two vehicles in a “head on fashion.” The drivers of those two vehicles were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The Wilbraham Fire Dept. had to use the “jaws of life” to get one of the drivers out of their vehicle.

Shaw was arrested by Officer Lawrence Rich for OUI Drugs and Negligent Operation. Capt. Kane said he was also cited for a marked lanes violation.
