WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP)– Several road work projects throughout the Hampden County will be affecting your morning commute.
In West Springfield, on Piper Road, from Chester Street to Piper Cross Road, paving is scheduled to start Monday morning.
Gordon Dushane, of the West Springfield Department of Public Works, told 22News the road has been milled down and is all ready to be paved. Dushane also said the paving scheduled for Monday and Tuesday is, however, weather permitting.
Here’s what you need to know to get around this area.
If you are driving north on Piper road, you will be detoured to Amostown, Pease, and Morgan Roads.
If you’re heading south, you will make it through the work area, but give yourself extra time there.
22News is working for you with another cone zone alert for drivers in Palmer.
This on is for Route 181 between Fletcher Street in Palmer and Palmer Road in Three Rivers. That section of road is scheduled to be closed from 7 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. for road work being done there.
