Bicyclist hit by car in Southwick

The victim was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.

SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) – Police in Southwick are looking for a car that sped off, after hitting a person riding a bicycle.

Southwick Police Sgt. Rhett Bannish told 22News it happened near 85 North Longyard Road at around 9:30 this morning. A car allegedly clipped the bicycle rider with the vehicles side mirror and kept on driving.

The victim was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay. There’s no description of the vehicle.
