SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Classes have not begun yet, but dozens of Bay Path University students got right to work Friday. The students are volunteering their time with the organization Rebuilding Together, which rehabilitates homes in Springfield.
Of the next two months, Rebuilding Together volunteers will be doing work on a formerly foreclosed home on Bowles Street in the McKnight neighborhood. The three-bedroom home is being renovated for a low-income family, which will move in this fall.
This is the second year that Bay Path students have been working with Rebuilding Together.
