Parents strategize for back to school shopping

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – For weeks now western Massachusetts parents and students have been getting their back-to-school shopping done.

Sheena Rinehart of Springfield needed one final trip to the mall to get her two sons ready for school next week. This mom will have spent at least five hundred dollars on clothes and school supplies. She told 22News she used a spending strategy.

“I usually start early during the summertime, and I just buy weekly getting items like clothes and then I wait until the end and get sneakers,” Sheena Rinehar said.

Thousands of western Massachusetts children start returning to school next week.
