Will Holder’s arrival mean progress in Ferguson?

(NBC News) U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder was in Ferguson, Missouri Wednesday to discuss the police killing of unarmed teenager Michael Brown.

His visit comes as a state grand jury investigation of the shooting gets underway, and after more than a week of violent protests over the killing.

Holder met with local officials, college students, federal agents and prosecutors. He is promising a thorough, independent civil rights investigation into Brown’s death.

It’s a process that could take months. “We’re not going to rush anything through but we’re not going to delay it any more than has to be necessary,” says St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch.
