SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Water and sewer main work is expected to cause delays on Belmont Avenue in Springfield next week. The Springfield Water and Sewer Commission announced that from Monday through Friday, crews will be working on a section of Belmont Avenue from Locust Street to Woodside Terrace.
The work is expected to take place between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. The road will be open to traffic in both directions, but changes to traffic patterns and delays are to be expected. Police details will be out working, and on-street parking will not be allowed in the area.
Though the work to replace 900 feet of water main and 900 feet of sewer main will take place next week, final paving and site restoration is not expected to be finished until this coming spring.
