SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The water restrictions have been lifted in Springfield and surrounding communities.
The Springfield Water and Sewer Commission told 22News they repaired the broken water main on Provin Mountain in Agawam Sunday.
This means you will now be able to water your lawn, fill up your pool, and do outdoor water activities.
Since Thursday night, residents in Springfield, Longmeadow, East Longmeadow, Agawam and Ludlow were asked to limit their water usage.
Joyce Mulvaney of the Springfield Water & Sewer Commission says the city’s blackboard connect system placed 57,000 calls notifying homes and business of the water situation, but there are many people who haven’t signed up to receive those alerts.
