EAST HARTFORD, Conn (WTNH) — East Hartford police tells News 8 that a baby’s body was found in a trash can at a home in East Hartford, Tuesday evening.
The baby was found at the residence at 1047 Tolland Street after police received a call from a hospital around 8:30 p.m. Police say they were notified by a doctor at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center that an 18-year-old was at the hospital showing signs of giving birth but had no baby. Police conducted a welfare check and found a baby’s body inside the garbage outside the home.
The State’s Medical Examiner arrived on scene and took the body away. East Hartford Police have cleared the scene this morning.
