Cardinal Sean O’Malley, the Archbishop of Boston spoke on behalf of Bishop Rozanski. “i was happy to hear that Archbishop Laurie so sorry to lose him, that’s a very good sign,” said Cardinal O’Malley.

Bishop Rozanski is fairly young, he just turned 56 years old this month. He’s from Baltimore, he’s Polish. but has focused on the Latino Community in the ministry. There are about 230,000 Catholics in western Massachusetts.

“I am both humbled and honored to serve as your Bishop. I look very much forward to sharing with you God’s beauty in this beloved Diocese of Springfield,” said Rozanski.
