Massachusetts diver drowns in Maine

MONHEGAN ISLAND, Maine (AP) — The Maine Marine Patrol is investigating the death of a recreational diver off Monhegan Island.

Officials say 61-year old Anna Krowczynska of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, was diving off the island’s eastern tip in 25 feet of water when she failed to return to a dive boat Saturday morning.

The Maine Marine Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances around the drowning. The charter dive boat was operated by Dave Sinclair, Owner of Sea Ventures Charters of Wayne, Maine.
