SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield officers in the Narcotics Division were directed by Lt. Alberto Ayala in arresting 46 year-old Charles Davis of Springfield on Thursday night for selling a various number of drugs.
Sgt. John Delaney told 22News that officers found Davis at 9:25 p.m. at the “Food Zone” parking lot at Belmont and Oakland Street after receiving information that drugs were being sold at that location. Davis and 50 year-old Clinton Hawley, who was buying the drugs, fled on foot to 109 Oakland Street, where both were men arrested.
Several drugs and other items were confiscated during Davis’ arrest, including 6 oxycodone pills, several chunks of crack cocaine, bags of marijuana, marijuana cigarettes, and $321.00 in cash along with other drug paraphernalia. He has been arrested for possession of marijuana, crack cocaine, and oxycodone with intent to distribute, and violation of a drug free school zone at Forest Park Middle School.
Halwy has been arrested with possession of oxycodone and marijuana.
Both men will be arraigned on Friday.
