Search for 6-year-old continues

BREMERTON, Wash. (KING) Police tape blocked off part of a mobile home park Tuesday morning in Bremerton, Washington as sheriff’s deputies continued the search for a 6-year-old girl who was last seen Saturday night and wasn’t reported missing until Sunday night.

Around 80 searchers from seven counties and neighbors looked for Jenise Paulette Wright Monday. A helicopter, tracking dogs and a cadaver dog were also part of the search.

Child Protective Services took an 8-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl from the home Monday morning, Kitsap County Deputy Scott Wilson said.

Jenise was last seen Saturday night when she went to bed. Her family noticed her missing Sunday morning but didn’t become worried and call for help until about 10 p.m. Sunday because she had left the home on previous occasions and wandered around the neighborhood.

Investigators said Jenise’s parents have both agreed to take a polygraph, although there’s no reason to believe foul play at this time.
