SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) – Kim Goulette is taking over this week as the new executive director of the Pioneer Valley American Red Cross chapter. She is replacing Rick Lee who announced earlier this year he would be retiring.
Goulette is the former Executive Director of Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen in Pantry. She says she has a lot of experience in fundraising and helping the community and she is excited to apply those skills at the Red Cross.
“I was honored not only to be following in the footsteps of Rick Lee but after researching the history of the Red Cross, it was incredible. I just wanted to be a part of the mission,” Goulette said.
Goulette says the first big project is to move everyone into the new Red Cross building in Springfield. She hopes to keep the same events going. She officially starts as executive director on Thursday. Rick Lee’s last day is Wednesday.
