Mass. schools rank 1st in reading and math

The Bay State is behind only New Jersey in the overall rankings

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A new study finds Massachusetts’ education system is among the best in the country.

Personal finance network WalletHub released a study Tuesday that ranks Massachusetts number-two in the nation for school system quality, and number one for highest reading and math test scores.

The Bay State is behind only New Jersey in the overall rankings, and is immediately followed by two other New England states: Vermont and New Hampshire.
