(WNYT) A small plane clipped a tree and crashed into a woman’s front yard on Saturday, in Gansevoort, New York.
Both people aboard the plane were killed.
“I seen the plane hit the top of the trees and then nose-dive into the ground,” witness Nancy Rouse said. “It was right in my front yard, and I knew they had to be hurt, so I just run and called 911.”
The Cessna 180 had just taken off from the adjacent Heber Airpark when it crashed at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday.
It missed Rouse’s home by only a few feet.
