Factory building damaged by fire in Easthampton

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – It took less than an hour for firefighters in Easthampton to get a fire under control in a downtown commercial building Monday night.

Easthampton Fire Chief David Mottor declared the fire was put out at 6:42 p.m., 42 minutes after it started in the third floor of a building at 150 Pleasant Street.

An Easthampton fire dispatcher said the fire was confined to the third floor which houses several businesses. She said there was smoke and water damage, and no one was hurt.

The Easthampton and Northampton Fire Department’s both responded to the fire at 6:00 p.m. Monday.
