AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Agawam police are hoping you’ll take the family out Tuesday night to have some fun while learning about crime prevention.

Tuesday is Agawam’s National Night Out. Agawam Police Officer Robert Burke told 22News a state police helicopter will land, there will be free food and facepainting as well as safety demonstrations.

“We have a car seat installation for children’s car seat demonstrations, we have a shredder to help people shred important documents that are old and might have their social security number or personal information on it,” said Officer Burke.

National Night Out is Tuesday night from 5:00pm – 7:30pm at the Agawam High School Athletic Fields and is free to the public.
