Man arrested with 11th OUI charge

He's being held without bail

AUBURN, Mass. (NBC) – A man was arrested on what police say was his eleventh charge of operating a vehicle under the influence.

60-year-old David Silvestri was guided into the courtroom Friday with his lawyer’s jacket draped over his head. He was pulled over Thursday night driving 20-miles-an-hour below the speed limit without headlights.

Police say he smelled from alcohol and was arrested. He’s being held without bail.

Prosecutors detailed eight prior DUI charges from other states, but only the three most recent OUI offenses in Massachusetts could be confirmed.
